Merseyside International Brigades Network
IBMT AGM, Liverpool 2010
The International Brigades Memorial Trust held its AGM in Liverpool this year. The event, locatd appropriately at the Unite headquaters Jack Jones House, drew over three hundred IBMT members, the families of brigaders and supporters. The eventing event at the Casa saw several local artists perform to a packed house.
Before proceedings began, the memorial to the Merseysiders, now located at Unite, was rededicated. Guest of honour at the rededication was Merseyside Brigader Jack Edwards, a veteran of many of the key events of the Spanish Civil War including the battle of Jarama.
The IBMT's newly releeased exhibition Antifscistas, was also in place at the Unite building and will be touring around the UK for th foreseeable future. Details of the exhibition can be found at the IBMT's website.
